Twiki, Inc. launches Twiki Workspaces
for Enterprises, Departments, and Teams
A full collaboration software suite with a new, easy-to-use interface built on the award-winning enterprise wiki and available in the cloud or for installation onsite.
SUNNYVALE, Calif., - 3 August 2011
Twiki, Inc.® announced Twiki Workspaces today, a workspace with a full collaboration suite. Enterprises, departments, and teams can store, share, and manage as well as discuss and collaborate around tasks, projects, topics, and documents. To enable this collaboration, Twiki Workspaces offers a full suite of enabling applications: project management, document repository, team workspaces, enterprise social networking, organizational links, and an enterprise-class wiki.
Easy to Start Collaborating
Twiki Workspaces is designed for immediate use: individuals can sign up and start collaborating and contributing content. No IT involvement is required; line staff can sign up and start using in minutes.
Full Suite Collaboration Suite
Each application in the collaboration suite focuses on the essential tasks of collaboration, enabling an immediate increase in productivity. The project management application enables teams to track schedules, people, and tasks. The document repository application serves as a place to store, control access to, and track documents. Team workspaces provide a space for groups and teams to share information, discuss and collaborate through forums, document management and more. Using the enterprise social network application, staff can add and create profiles for themselves to create an internal social network. Organizational links provides a place to post important and frequently used information, such as calendars and product catalogs. Advanced users always have the option of using the power of the wiki to create custom forms, applications and work areas such as company-wide contact databases and automated forms and much more.
New UI
Twiki Workspaces features a complete, new user interface reflective of today's modern web applications. Users are presented with dashboard with the applications organized on a simple grid; they can easily click through to the specific application and get work done. No longer do groups need to design and create a user interface. They can begin working immediately.
Available OnDemand (SaaS) or OnSite
Twiki Workspaces OnDemand is available as a Software as a Service (SaaS) in the cloud and can scale from small workgroups to thousands of users. Twiki Workspaces OnSite is available for download for Enterprises and teams wishing to install and run Twiki Workspaces within their firewall using their own security and authentication services. Twiki Workspaces OnSite is built as a virtual appliance using VMware that makes installation fast and easy. Twiki Workspaces OnDemand and Twiki Workspaces OnSite offer the same user experience and functionality.
Market's positive response

It's striking a chord with users seeking a practical and productive environment for sharing and collaborating", says Jitendra Kavathekar, CEO of Twiki, Inc. "In addition, Workspaces gives Twiki's installed base of over 50,000 teams worldwide the opportunity to seamlessly upgrade from wiki-centric products and appeal to new kinds of users in the organization - the typical office worker or staff person who is just trying to get work done - with a new, easy-to-use UI and a suite common collaboration apps."
