Twiki Technical Support Lead
Title: Technical Support Lead, Customer Service Provide technical leadership for customer service in support of Twiki installations. Job Description: As a member of the customer service team, you will be responsible for supporting customer installations, account creation, maintaining, and upgrading existing Twiki servers, site structure, content creation and document conversion. Skills: Customer care, system administration, Twiki installation and upgrade, Twiki markup language (TML) templates and forms, Apache, Perl.- Experience in supporting Linux, LAMP stack, LDAP, VMware
- Detail oriented and proactive about responding to customer needs
- Knowledge about TCP/IP networking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Provide technical support to customers via e-mail and telephone, occasionally on-site
- Work with other support staff to ensure adequate phone / customer coverage during business hours
- Setup Certified Twiki test lab (to simulate customer environments / issues)
- Test Certified Twiki beta versions and provide feedback to Engineering
- Occasional travel to customer sites for on-site support / professional services delivery
- Occasional system administration work on twiki.net servers
- Occasional creation of Twiki applications, forms, templates
Twiki User Interface Developer
Title: Technical Lead, Twiki User Interface, Software Developer Lead the effort to improve the user interface and usability of Twiki, especially for non-technical users. Job Description: The Ajax-Javascript Developer will lead Web 2.0 application development of the Twiki UI and workflow. As a member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for application design, analysis, coding, testing, documenting, maintaining, and upgrading existing applications. Skills: Perl, CGI, Java Script, Ajax, Twiki Markup Language (TML). Experience with CSS and Dreamweaver a plus.- MUST analyse Twiki user interface and deliver a proposal that lists potential enhancements and appropriate priorities
- MUST design, test, and implement UI improvements for Twiki product(s)
- MUST be skilled in user interface assessment, design, and development
- MUST be skilled in Twiki and Perl
- SHOULD be skilled in Web 2.0 technologies including wikis, RSS, blogging, tagging, and AJAX
- SHOULD be skilled in Linux, Apache, and other Open Source technologies
Sales Engineer
A Twiki Sales Engineer combines technical knowledge with sales skills. The position requires a level of technical knowledge necessary to demonstrate Twiki's products and services and respond effectively to clients’ technical inquiries. Twiki Sales Engineers work closely with other members of the sales and technical teams to insure the successful closure of sales opportunitiesrequiring customization and or detailed functional demonstration Typical work activities Tasks typically involve:- making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs;
- providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education;
- traveling to visit potential clients;
- providing the technical response to RFP's;
- developing and growing long-term relationships with customers technical team members;
- managing and interpreting customer requirements - speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs;
- persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery;
- capturing and understanding all items related to providing accurate client quotations;
- offering post-sales support services, insure a smooth transition to support after initial deployment period is completed;
- coordinating technical projects to insure customer satisfaction;
- supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events;
- liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts to insure all customer questions are answered;
- solving client problems with assistance from engineering as required;
- helping in the design and delivery of custom-made products;
- providing training and producing technical marketing material for other members of the sales team.
- MUST analyse customer's collaboration requirements and deliver proposals that meet the customer's technical expectations
- MUST be skilled in deploying Twiki, installing Twiki Plugin's and have some experience with Perl
- MUST be able to demonstrate Twiki functionality remotely via WebEx
- MUST be able to address all technical inquiries regarding product feature set and be knowledgeable about competitive offerings
- MUST be skilled in Vmware, Web 2.0 technologies including wikis, RSS, blogging, tagging, and AJAX
- MUST be skilled in Linux, Apache, and other Open Source technologies
- SHOULD be able to provide content for "How To's?" for Marketing
- SHOULD be able to create Twiki Applications
- SHOULD be able to provide Twiki User and Champion Training
