The SAP example provided in the article is simply one case of extending information to customers via a collaborative platform.

Collaborative solutions can also be deployed to form a closer bond with suppliers. Mars, Inc. uses Twiki to extend their extranet to suppliers via secure workspaces in a way that was never comprehended with EDI. They also take it a bit further, automating business patterns within Twiki. Next time you are enjoying that Mars or Snickers candy bar, think Twiki and collaboration. A sweet combination.
